FAQ’s

How do I pay?
We require a deposit of 25% to confirm your booking, with the remaining balance due 6 weeks prior to your camping stay.
Our preferred method of payment is BACS Bank Transfers and cheques which should be made payable to ‘Coastal Meadows’.

Are your facilities child friendly?
We are extremely child friendly here with two young children of our own, we understand the concerns of parents. We have additional facilities such as baby baths, changing mats and nappy bins, as well as a safe play area, meadows pathways and woodland dens.
Naturally we have a few stinging nettles and brambles set within our 17 acres but we find that children love to explore the wonderful natural habitat and fauna we have here, trying to identify the abundance of wildlife.
Within the Old Wood Store is a selection of games, books and DVDs for you to borrow whilst staying here.

Are your camping pitches and facilities disabled friendly?
Each pitch can accommodate wheelchairs. The upper meadow has ‘The Barn’ which has a large shower room. In the middle meadow, ‘The Cabin’ has a small step to access the toilet / shower facilities.

When can I arrive?
For camping, you can pitch up from 3pm and depart by 11am. Early check in (12.30pm) and late check out (1.30pm) is by prior arrangement only for a small charge

Is there flexibility on arrivals days?
You can book your camping stay on any dates subject to availability. There is a minimum stay of two nights, with a maximum stay of nine nights. Longer stays are by prior arrangement.

What is the vehicle access like?

Coastal Meadows is accessed by a single track (approx 200 metres long). The track is flat except for a short gentle slope into the main entrance of the site. Each pitch has its own car park area adjacent to the meadow pitch.

What is the camping access like?

The camping site is predominately flat / gently sloping. All the pitches are accessed from either the top track or main track dependent on their location. We only accept vehicles / campervans (VW type size). Trailers are fine with no charge. Each pitch has its own parking space which is just off the gravel track and directly next to their respective pitch.

Are there good pubs and restaurants nearby?
Yes plenty. The nearest pub to Coastal Meadows is The New Inn at Amroth Beach. The Amroth Arms is slightly further along the coast.

How far are you from the beach?
We are close to many Blue Flag Beaches. Marros beach is closest however this is inaccessible by car. Amroth Beach is just down the road with free parking. Pendine Sands is nearby and also a favourite.

Can I leave my car there while I hike the Pembrokeshire Coast National Path?
We are ideally located for the coastal hiking routes. If you are staying with us for a minimum of three nights, then you are welcome to leave your car here for up to two weeks at a charge of £2 per day. All proceeds to local community projects.

How far in advance can I book?
Up to two years in advance by telephoning us directly.

What are the charges?
Peak school holiday times – the cost is £395 per week for two adults and up to three children.

Other dates – Each pitch and lead camper is £15 for the pitch (midweek) or £20 (weekends), plus £10 for any additional adult, £7.50 for 5 years old or over. Under 5’s no charge and pets £2 each. One camper must be a member of The Greener Camping Club which is £12 for an annual membership.  GCC membership can be arranged here.

Do you do special offers or discounts?
We regularly do special offers / discounted stay. We normally publish these via Facebook. If interested please ‘Like’ our Facebook page to see these offers.

Can I book online?
You can email us with the dates you wish and we will contact you back. An availability calendar is on the prices / availability page. However, discounts and any seasonal promotions that we may offer from time to time cannot be applied online.

Are the facilities available all year round?
The camping is open from beginning of May to the end of September.

How far is the closest hospital and doctor?
The West Wales General Hospital in Carmarthen is a 17 miles away. The notice board has is comprehensive and has full details of all emergency contacts, addresses and telephone numbers.

How far is the nearest supermarket?
The nearest supermarket to COASTAL MEADOWS is the Coop at Kilgetty, SA68 0YA. Amroth and Pendine do also have amenity shops to buy basic provisions and newspapers etc. Pembroke Dock and Carmarthen have a larger selection of retailers.

Are we able to re-cycle rubbish?
Yes, we provide re-cycling bins on all camping pitches.

What do we need to bring with us?’

As well as your tent and camping equipment, we recommend you bring beach towels and wellies.

Is there a shop on site ?
We do have The Diddy Little Shop, which as the names suggests not exactly big, in fact it’s tiny. We use this area to sell any local produce from nearby food producers. Please stock up your holiday provisions form the nearby shops and supermarkets.
